Stephanie is the founder of Roe Lawyers.  She set up the firm over seven years ago as a boutique law firm offering clients a highly tailored and personalised service.  The ethos of the firm is to provide exceptional advice that is cost effective (in a competitive market place).

Stephanie is a seasoned criminal practitioner having spent over seventeen years representing clients from all backgrounds from celebrities, high net worth individuals , professionals to students and children.  She prides herself in her unique approach to her cases and her ability to proactively conclude proceedings swiftly to the benefit of the client. She works tirelessly on all her cases and is always available to her clients which allows her to develop a close and successful working relationship.  She also acts for a number of vulnerable clients such as those with special educational needs and disabilities approaching cases with empathy and understanding. Stephanie has also developed an excellent reputation in regulatory work which has developed alongside her criminal practice as there is often an overlap in the two areas.

Stephanie was called to the Bar of England and Wales before cross-qualifying  to become a solicitor. She trained and worked at top ranked London criminal firms undertaking a full range of both general criminal and business crime cases as a Solicitor and High Court Advocate. Prior to setting up Roe Lawyers Stephanie’s  practice had largely become privately funded with cases being referred as a result of her well-deserved reputation as a top class London solicitor.

ROBYN WALTERS

Solicitor

Robyn is an experienced senior solicitor and a valuable member of the Roe Lawyers team. She has a wealth of experience in general crime and spent the majority of her career working for top ranked London firms in the Business Crime and Regulatory team. She has represented numerous professionals in front of their relevant regulatory bodies more specifically in representing medical professionals under investigation by the GMC/MPTS. She has represented Senior Managers within the NHS, Consultants, registrars and medical students from the opening of an investigation through to a final hearing.

During her career, Robyn has focussed on providing high-quality legal advice to individuals and corporates facing criminal prosecutions from a variety of sources including the CPS, SFO and FCA. She prides herself on building open and confident relationships with her clients based on clear communication, expectation setting and deciphering legal terminology in what is a stressful time.

Selma Michli

Selma Michli

Solicitor

Selma is a solicitor at Roe Lawyers. She has experience advising and representing individual and corporate clients across a broad range of practice areas, including general crime, business crime, Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Roe Lawyers, Selma completed her training at a top ranked national firm and had amassed almost 5 years’ worth of extensive experience in the field of criminal litigation.  She has represented those accused of the full range of criminal offences from those interviewed at the police station to those appearing in the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and appeal courts in cases ranging from minor road traffic offences, to serious and often complex cases involving rape, violence, drug supply and fraud.

Selma prides herself in being approachable and making clients feel at ease in often sensitive and stressful situations. Her proactive and tactical approach to case preparation has often seen her successfully conclude cases with no further action being taken against the client (at times without even the need for interview) or by obtaining an out of court disposal.

Since joining Roe Lawyers, Selma has been involved in matters concerning the POCA, including asset restraint and contested forfeiture proceedings. She has also gained experience in the field of regulatory and professional discipline, advising individuals facing investigations and disciplinary proceedings across the legal, financial and healthcare sectors.

HR Manager

Leonie is the Human Resources (HR) Manager at Roe Lawyers. She is exceptionally experienced, having previously led a HR team in a large, dynamic, multi-site organisation.

At Roe Lawyers, Leonie oversees the firm’s HR function and provides advice and assistance to employees and managers at all levels, often calling upon her stellar knowledge and experience within the industry and within boutique practices. Leonie is a proactive and passionate professional. She has a genuine love of helping people, strong communication skills, positive energy and adopts a practical approach.

Fiona is an Executive Assistant for Roe Lawyers. She has over 30 years’ experience working in high pressured environments such as in the Media, Finance and Legal sectors.

Fiona provides administrative support to all our solicitors and understands the necessary rigour and precision required as part of a legal team.
